Mario Badali, owner of Mamma Mia Pizzeria and Cucina, was always a pizza connoisseur. As far back as a young kid, he remembers going to his father’s pizzerias and loving every minute of it. After stepping away from the pizza life for a bit in his early twenties, Mario came to the realization that pizza was always in his heart. He decided to start his own legacy in the very competitive New York pizza game. With his father’s blessing, Mario and his wife Janine brought in the delicious family recipes that his father had brought all the way to America from Mario’s birthplace, Sicily. Upon opening Mamma Mia Pizzeria and Cucina, Mario’s passion was reignited. Serving everything from pizza, pasta, salads, calzones and more; Mario has truly brought a taste of Sicily to Staten Island.
